Our Girls' Swim team are District 3A, Region 1 Champs! With a score of 355.5, we edged out Lawton Chiles (336) and Gainesville (220). Every single point we earned mattered! Such a fantastic team effort from all 16 girls!!! Five school records were broken, including: 400 Free Relay -- Senior Holly Cox, Freshman Mary Agnes Smith, Junior Liv Copland, and Sophomore Sydney Straub brok the 2017 record of 3:39.20 with a time of 3:38.38. 200 Medley Relay -- Junior Annie Wohlgemuth, Sophomore Annabelle MacAdams, Freshman Mary Agnes Smith, and Freshman Penny Zarczynski broke this season's earlier record of 1:49.61 with a time of 1:47.98 Junior Annie Wohlgemuth broke her own 100 fly record 56.57 with a time of 56.10 and her own 100 backstroke record of 54.85 with a time of 54.44. Freshman Penny Zarczynski broke her own 50 free record of 24.38 with a time of 24.30. Our boys' swim team had a great day as well and congrats to all our regional swimmers! A huge thanks to Coaches Junior Temetio and Kyle Barry! On to States in Stuart on November 13th!!
