Hello Swim Families,

I hope this finds you enjoying your summer break! This email is a long but important one. Please read the whole thing. 
Online registration for fall athletics is now open. All swimmers and divers must register for both fall athletics AND for the swim/dive team. Both the team registration below and the athletic registration must be completed BEFORE tryouts. Please click on this link to complete the athletic registration and scroll down to Fall Sports Registration and go through the process to be cleared for fall athletics (directions on the website)! I recommend you take care of this now! It has to be done every year. When you receive your email approval/clearance, print it and bring it to the first day of tryouts! If you are not cleared by August 9th, Coach Junior can not allow you to tryout. This process takes time to happen and if you wait until the last minute, you will not be able to try out. Be sure to also follow the directions on the same website but further down the page to pay the Student-Athlete Registration Fee. This fee must be paid prior to the student- athlete participating in his/her first contest/meet! You have the option to pay it through school pay or print and send a check to the Athletic Department at PVHS.

For swimmers that have an interest in joining the PVHS Dive Team: This year we have several swimmers that have joined diving to try it out before the season. The high school swim team uses Atlantic Coast Diving Jax to provide our swimmers with a dive coach and training. Coach Courtney Gills is the contact point at Atlantic Coast Diving. Laura Robbins, one of our parent volunteers, is the parent coordinator of our divers. Her number is 904-806-4491. Please text her or call if you have questions about diving. Dive HS fees will be paid out of your dive team registration dues. HS fees will pay for two days of training a week during the high school swim season from August to the end of October unless the diver qualifies for the state meet, in which the diver will continue to practice until States. Practices are two hours long and will be held at the Bolles School on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Divers have the option to come to more practices if they choose as they have practice seven days per week but we only require two days for the HS team. If the diver chooses to do more practice days, the diver would pay for the additional cost directly to Atlantic Coast Diving. For example: Diver chooses to practice 5 days a week, 2 days are paid from Aug-Oct by the swim team through your registration fees and the other 3 days are paid by your family. Swim team tryouts start on Wednesday, August 10th at 6:30 am at the PSA pool located at 300 Davis Park Rd, PV Beach, FL 32081. There will be tryouts on Wed-Fri at 6:30am. Coach Junior will release the roster on Friday afternoon or evening.
