4th Annual Holleman Invitational a Success for PVHS Swim and Dive Team

Led by Coaches Kyle Berry and Ashley Reutter, the Ponte Vedra Swim and Dive team competed at the 4th Annual Frank Holleman Invitational at Planet Swim and Tennis Club against 20 other area high schools. The girls came in 2nd place and the boys came in 3rd place. Outstanding performances include:

Sophomore Thomas Smith won 1st place in both the 100 fly and 100 backstroke, setting a new school record with both swims and a new meet record in the 100 backstroke at 51.43:

Sophmore Chase Kendall set a new team record in the 500 Free at 4:38.55:

Senior Penny Zarczynski won 1st place in both the 50 freestyle and 100 fly, setting a new meet record in the 100 fly with an All-American consideration time of 54.93:

The girls 200 free relay of Senior Penny Zarczynski, Junior Ainsley MacAdams, Freshman McKenna Biernacki, and Junior Kate Pelot easily won gold. This is the Sharks 3rd straight win in this event.

The girls 200 medley relay of Junior Kate Pelot, Junior Sydney Player, Senior Penny Zarczynski, and Junior Ainsley MacAdams won 2nd place;

Junior Lily Doyle placed in 2nd in both the 200 free and 500 free, earning an All-American consideration time in her 500 freestyle;

The boys 200 free relay of Sophomore Thomas Smith, Sophomore Aaron Yang, Junior Jono Milicevic, and John Finnemore came in 3rd place;

Sophomore Kate Pelot placed 3rd in the 100 freestyle;

Senior Dean Batelli placed 3rd in the 100 fly

Freshman diver Eli Ahlers placed 3rd in 1 meter diving;
